|♥ Harper / 22 / Midwest
Hi there! I'm harper, a 22 year old student from the midwest with a love of nike combat shorts, butt buster workouts, and yummy smoothies. Here you'll find me talk about my fitness, personal life, as well as my nutrition and lifestyle! I love to eat and I always post plenty of my healthy-twist recipies. I work-out for my own health and self confidence, not for anyone else. Have a questions? Ask me here! ♥
this is what always happens. I get excited about working out, and getting fit for myself, and then I get really sick a lose all of my momentum. This happened last year when I got strep throat and then bronchitis, and now its happening again with this. FML for real. Anybody have tips on how to get back into the swing of things after being sick?
I cant really put my finger on when I started being uncomfortable in my own skin, but it was sometime after my senior year in high school. I had always been thin and fit, I played volleyball and golf and I was still young enough where I could eat what I wanted and be thin. I wasn’t ever teased or anything like that but after an injury sidelined me after HS graduation and I think everything just started going downhill from there. I’m still a comfortable size 6 at 5’10”, but I know I’m not healthy. I eat like crap, and only workout maybe once or twice a week and it’s half assed. Earlier last year I wanted to try and start doing better, but something just didn’t click and I fell back into my old habits. I’m writing this today because I want a change. I want to treat my body with the respect it deserves, it’s my vessel to get through this life, and its high time I started working out regularly and putting healthy clean fuel into it. This is my pledge, from here forward to do better, for my family, my future kids, but mostly myself.
